There are many different printing techniques. I have experimented with several of them: monoprint, woodcut, and linocut. Some, such as monoprint, are very spontaneous techniques, while others, such as woodcut, require careful planning to achieve the desired result. All are created by drawing or cutting an image in reverse on a plate or block, inking the plate, and applying pressure to transfer the drawing from the plate.
