Folk art is art that is created by ordinary people who use
available materials and creativity to turn everyday objects into beautiful
works of art. Folk art can be seen in embroidered clothing and textile
patterns, home decoration, and body ornamentation. Folk art is found in
every culture and is not meant for exhibition, but to be seen and used
by everyone as a part of everyday life.
There are many examples of folk art in India-the richly embroidered
and dyed clothing, the intricate silver and gold handmade jewelry, earthenware,
tapestry work, basketry, rangoli (floor art), and mehandi (henna).
We provide both henna and rangoli services for any occasion. We also
have a number of unique, folk art influenced gift items.
