I am currently in the final phase of my Individual Artist Grant project, developing a series of works inspired by traditional Indian folk and tribal art forms, including Phad and Lippan. This body of work reflects months of research, practice, and a deep respect for the artists who continue to preserve these traditions, often with limited support. The process has been both creative and personal, allowing me to reconnect with the art forms I grew up with while refining my own visual language. A selection of process work is shared here, with the completed pieces to be presented in an upcoming exhibition at White Bear Center for the Arts. Supported by the 2025 Minnesota State Arts Board Individual Artist Grant.
